Neisendorf breaks high jump record
April 20, 2012
Genoa-Kingston High SchoolDanielle Neisendorf has had a lot of success early in her high school career, qualifying for the state meet in the pole vault and high jump as a sophomore last season.
But Genoa-Kingston coach Barry Schmidt says Neisendorf has been much more consistent this season.
Neisendorf tied the school record in the high jump Friday at Seneca with a jump of 5 feet, 3 inches before breaking the record Tuesday at home with a jump of 5-5. Neisendorf hasn’t lost yet this season in the high jump.
“This year I really think she’s made big strides in her consistency,” Schmidt said. “In the last two years, she’d have meets where she wouldn’t jump as well. This year, in every meet, she’s been really consistent.”
