Girls Track Power Rankings

1. Kaneland: Knights are the best team in the area, led by sprinter Lauren Zick.
2. DeKalb: Hurdler/sprinter Jaylaan Slaughter and jumper Jasmine Brown have led a talented DeKalb team.
3. Sycamore: The Spartans finished second Friday in a meet in Minooka.
4. Genoa-Kingston: Danielle Neisendorf had a nice day at home Tuesday, winning the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 5 inches.
5. Indian Creek: Led by distance runner Kalia Foster and sprinter/jumper Kristen Westbrook, the Timberwolves have a strong but small team.
6. Hinckley-Big Rock: Coach Greg Burks is excited that his four runners have been able to make up relay teams this year.
