Coconut Creek dominated at Douglas, beating the Eagles 37-7 in the last regular-season game Friday night.

Douglas struck first when Herve Coby caught a 27-yard pass from Brandon Corona in the second quarter. But that was also its last score of the game. The Cougars answered later in the quarter with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Eric Wallace to Wesley Jean.

The score was tied 7-7 at the end of the half. Then the Cougars took over, starting with a safety just nine seconds into the second half. Justin Williams capped off a lengthy drive with a 1-yard touchdown run with just over three minutes left in the third quarter.

Creek capitalized on two interceptions in the fourth quarter. Brandon Dixon ran one in from 20 yards and Eric Demps scored on a 30-yard touchdown run after Jordan Fowler's interception. Wallace, who passed for 167 yards, threw another touchdown from 33 yards to Elcadeau Joseph.

"'Eric Wallace is an amazing guy. He does a real good job for us and has a heck of a strong arm,"' Coconut Creek coach Allen Jackson said.

Wallace will need that strength next week when the Cougars start the playoffs against St. Thomas Aquinas.

''We wanted to go in [on] a positive note,'' Jackson said. ``We're going in there with a good attitude and a little swagger. We know who they are, we know their record.''
