CC tennis squad makes it a sweep

By sweeping Streator 5-0, the Coal City tennis team (4-0) remained undefeated n head-to-head matches.

Stephanie Zitella won her No. 1 singles match 6-2, 6-1 and Jordan Bolker won in No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles competitions Maria Salazar and Elizabeth Peterson won 6-3, 6-3; Lee Bryan and Amanda Trofimchuck won 6-1, 6-7 (5-7), 10-7; and Shannon Mudro and Brooke Berger won 6-1, 6-1.

The junior varsity team also earned sweep with Kim Onsen winning 8-4 and Katie Fina winning 8-2.

In doubles Haley Collins and Saraah Sirovy won 8-1; Morgan Youskevtch and Alyss Lilek won 8-0, while Lynnsey Bogash and Briana Brovont won 8-0.
