INDIANAPOLIS -- Columbus North seniors Kelsey Cunningham and Tayler Goodall competed Sunday (March 16) in the Hoosier Basketball Magazine Top 60 Senior Workout.
No official stats are kept at the event, but both players played well in their scrimmage segments during the second session of the event at Marian University.
Cunningham sank two or three baskets and had several assists while competing for the Yellow Team. Goodall got hot while playing for the Red team, converting several jumpers -- including two or three 3-pointers -- as well as a couple of inside shots. Goodall also had several rebounds, a couple of assists and two or three steals.
Overall, a good day for the Bull Dogs' duo.
Cunningham and Goodall became the 11th and 12th Columbus North players to participate in the HBM Top 60 (or Top 40, as it once was).
Others over the years were Teri Staker in 1984, Melissa Huffman in 1986, Karen McCaa in 1989, Missy Wade in 1992, Kara Kleinhenz in 1998, Sarah Kerkhof in 2000, Tina Bolte in 1993, Brittany Bowen in 2007, Sydney Mitchell in 2009 and Courtney Larson in 2011.
Staker, McCaa, Wade, Bowen and Larson later were named Indiana All-Stars later that spring. Debbie Law also was an Indiana All-Star in 1981, before the Top 60/40 event was begun.
