Columbus North boys tennis wins Silver Creek Invitational

SELLERSBURG, Ind. -- The 10th-ranked Columbus North boys tennis team rolled to two more victories on Saturday (Sept. 21) in the Silver Creek Invitational.
The Bull Dogs rolled past the host Dragons 5-0 in their opener, then followed with a 4-1 win over Greensburg.
A scheduled third match against Heritage Christian was canceled when the Eagles did not attend the event.
Five CN players went 2-0 for the day -- sophomore Rahul Jha in two singles matches, sophomore Kevin Luo in one singles match and one doubles match, and junior Jake Likens, junior Anthony Sanders and sophomore Aditya Mantri in two doubles matches.
Senior Luke Red and junior Mitchell Miller won their only matches, Red at No. 1 singles and Miller at No. 2 doubles. Senior Krishan Narsinghani split his matches, beating an opponent from Silver Creek at No. 2 singles and falling to an opponent from Greensburg at No. 1 singles.
At the JV level, Columbus North defeated Silver Creek 2-1 and beat Greensburg 2-0.
Columbus North, now 14-0 in dual matches, returns to action at 5 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 24) when it visits Greenwood.
