Perry Meridian senior wins diving regional at Bloomington North

Columbus North High School BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Perry Meridian senior Michael Peterson scored 492.90 points Tuesday evening (Feb. 19), winning the boys diving regional at Bloomington North.
Peterson finished well ahead of Center Grove senior Joshua Carmichael, who placed second with 414.50 points. The top eight finishers earned spots in the IHSAA swimming and diving State Finals on Friday and Saturday (Feb. 22-23) at the Natatorium at IUPUI.
Others who qualified for the finals were Floyd Central senior Dylan Nichols (397.20), Castle senior David Pate (387.05), Evansville Reitz senior Seth Ludwig (361.65), Bedford North Lawrence sophomore Aaron Embree (350.55), Seymour senior Nick Hester (336.35) and Edgewood sophomore Colton Mossbrucker (334.85).
Columbus North senior Sam Larson placed 19th with 181.15 points.
