Home » Boys' Basketball NewsColumbus North freshman boys basketball tops Seymour 64-30January 15, 2013 Columbus North High School COLUMBUS, Ind. -- Collin Lollar scored 21 points to pace three players in double figures Tuesday evening (Jan. 15), leading the Columbus North freshman boys basketball team to a 64-30 victory over visiting Seymour.
Payton Kelsay and Alex Algee each added 11 points for the Bull Dogs, who improved to 6-5 for the season. Evan Fische scored 11 points to top the Owls (3-8).
Columbus North jumped to a 14-6 lead in the first quarter, then pushed its advantage to 37-15 at the half. CN led 52-24 at the third stop before cruising in the fourth quarter.
The Columbus North freshmen return to action at 6 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 19) at Perry Meridian. That game is part of a tripleheader; it also includes a JV game at 6 p.m., and the varsity will follow the JV about 7:30 p.m.
The CN varsity and JV also play on Friday (Jan. 18) at Madison, but there is no freshman game that night. The JV game begins at 6 p.m., and the varsity follows about 7:30 p.m.
