Emily Kim scored 12 points and Lauren Imlay contributed 10 points as the Bull Dogs defeated host Cathedral 48-26 in the championship game. Kara Linn added six points, Sarah Tran netted five and Allison Bates had four.

Cienna Jorgan scored 12 points and Meghan Farrell netted seven for the Irish.

In the first round, Kim and Linn each scored eight points as Columbus North topped Pendleton Heights 31-21. Bates chipped in four points, while Imlay and Makayla Caudill each had three.

This is the second consecutive season that the Columbus North freshman girls have won this event. The two wins improved their record to 7-1 for the season.

The CN freshman girls return to action at 6 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 3) when they host Bloomington North.
