Schedule amended for Bob Wettig Invitational in Richmond

Columbus North High School The sixth annual Bob Wettig Tournament will start Thursday (Dec. 27), but the 16-team event will have an amended first-day schedule and with games played at both Richmond High School's Tiernan Center and Earlham College because of the winter weather.
Thursday's first-round games were originally scheduled to start at 9 a.m., but the first games have been pushed to a 4 p.m. start.
Columbus North will take on Louisville Moore (Ky.) at 4 p.m. at Earlham’s Athletics and Wellness Center, followed by Jennings County vs. Rock Creek Academy at 5:30 p.m., East Central vs. Mt. Lebanon (Pa.) at 7 p.m. and Jeffersonville vs. Indianapolis Metropolitan at 8:30 p.m.
At Tiernan Center, Guerin Catholic faces Portage at 4 p.m., with Connersville and Tipton tipping off at 5:30 p.m., Richmond vs. Indianapolis Tindley at 7 p.m. and Floyd Central vs. Indianapolis Chatard at 8:30 p.m.
Friday’s and Saturday’s games are slated to be played at their original times. Regardless of where and when Thursday’s opening-round matches are played, the original bracket pairings remain intact.
Columbus North won last year’s tournament. The championship game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday night.
