Four Columbus North boys soccer players chosen all-state

Columbus North High School Seniors Brad Shaw and Reid Wilson were among four players from the Columbus North boys soccer team to receive all-state honors from the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association.
Shaw and Wilson each were recognized with first-team accolades after leading the Bull Dogs to a 17-1-4 record and the Class 2A state championship.
They were joined by junior Andre Abedian and senior Chase Francoeur in collecting postseason laurels. Abedian was selected second-team all-state, while Francoeur was picked third-team all-state.
Shaw led Columbus North in scoring with 42 points on 17 goals and eight assists, while Wilson notched 11 points on four goals and three assists. Wilson also was recognized with the C. Eugene Cato Mental Attitude Award at the State Finals.
Abedian contributed two goals and four assists from the midfield, while Francoeur posted a 0.79 goals against average, a 7-0-1 record and contributed to six shutouts as a goalkeeper.
