Home » Athletics News35 Columbus North fall sport athletes cited by Conference IndianaNovember 8, 2012 Columbus North High School Twenty-seven athletes from Columbus North High School earned first-team all-Conference Indiana honors in the eight fall sports of 2012.
In addition, eight other CNHS athletes were chosen as honorable mention all-conference.
The school also had one coach recognized as Conference Indiana Coach of the Year in two sports -- Rick Weinheimer in boys cross country and girls cross country.
Athletes in football, boys soccer, girls soccer, boys tennis and volleyball were selected following a vote of conference coaches on Monday.
Athletes in boys cross country, girls cross country and girls golf have known of their selections since the conference meet earlier in the fall because accolades in those sports are based on performance in those events.
Coach of the Year awards were determined by a vote of conference coaches in all sports.
A list of the Columbus North all-conference honorees follows.
Boys cross country -- Andy Carr, Kaden Eaton, Karson Tays, Seth Williams.
Football -- Shaquille Ash (LB), Thomas Shoaf (OL), Taylor Summa (DB). Honorable mention: Ethan Brown (OL), Luis Cambron (OL), Skyler Farmer (TE), Solomon Knight (DL), Luke Teague (LB).
Boys soccer -- Mason Engel, McClain Goggin, Tony Gonzalez, Brad Shaw, Reid Wilson.
Boys tennis -- Luke Red. Honorable mention: Ernest Xi.
Girls cross country -- Nina Bouthier, Mackenzie Caldwell, Sierra Lax, Rachael Sollman.
Girls golf -- Sydney Anderson, Lauren Backmeyer, Samantha McQueen, Emily Morris.
Girls soccer -- Michelle Amlung, Kenadie Carlson, Elizabeth James. Honorable mention: Malissa Hofmeister, Gabby Sims.
Volleyball -- Quin Shoultz.
