Home » Boys' Tennis NewsColumbus North boys tennis goes unbeaten in own invitationalSeptember 8, 2012 Columbus North High School COLUMBUS, Ind. -- A rotating lineup proved successful for the No. 14 Columbus North boys tennis team Saturday (Sept. 8) as the Bull Dogs defeated three teams to capture the Columbus North Invitational.
CN knocked off Batesville 4-1 in its opener, then followed with another 4-1 victory over Providence. The hosts then closed their day with a 5-0 triumph over Martinsville.
"We had some nice team wins with us switching our lineup around," Bull Dogs coach Kendal Hammel said. "Several positions competed really well with tough opponents, while we won other positions with solid scores against weaker players. Overall, good wins for the team and now looking to Bloomington South on Tuesday."
Columbus North improved to 8-3 for the season with the results. A summary of CN's matches is below.
The Bull Dogs return to action at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 11) when they visit Bloomington South for a Conference Indiana match. They follow with another CI match at 5:30 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 13) at home against Southport.
