Morris, Anderson lead Columbus North girls golf to victory

      COLUMBUS, Ind. -- Senior Emily Morris and sophomore Sydney Anderson each shot a 38 Monday (Aug. 6), leading the Columbus North girls golf team to a 16-stroke victory over Perry Meridian at Harrison Lake Country Club.
      Juniors Lauren Backmeyer added a 43 and Sam McQueen a 46 for the Bull Dogs, who amassed a 165 total on their first dual meet and first home meet of the 2012 season.
      Sophomore Morgan Deis and sophomore Madison Smith had respective scores of 50 and 59 to complete the lineup for CNHS.
      Columbus North returns to action at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 7) when it faces Southport at Southern Dunes Golf Course in Indianapolis. Southport enters the match with a 1-1 record, and the Cardinals are paced by senior Erin Marsh.
