CN's Lewis to play at Tennessee Tech

     Columbus North graduate Audrey Lewis has signed to play volleyball at Tennessee Tech University.
     Lewis, a 5-10 outside hitter, posted team highs of 3.32 kills per game and 3.11 digs per game as the Bull Dogs went 18-16 in 2011. She also provided 0.32 blocks per game, 0.36 aces per game and a .269 hitting efficiency en route to being selected first-team all-Conference Indiana.
     Lewis joins a Tennessee Tech program that went 5-25 in 2011, including a 4-16 record in the Ohio Valley Conference.
     The OVC splits into divisions this season and Tennessee Tech will be in the OVC East with Belmont, Eastern Kentucky, Morehead State, Jacksonville State and Tennessee State. Schools in the OVC West are Austin Peay, Eastern Illinois, Murray State, Southeast Missouri State, SIU-Edwardsville and UT-Martin.
     Tennessee Tech is located in Cookeville, Tenn. The Golden Eagles, coached by John Blair, begin their season Aug. 24 in the UT-Chattanooga Invitational.
