Columbus North to face Bloomington North in softball sectional semifinal

Columbus North High School Defending champion Columbus North drew a first-round bye and will face Bloomington North on Tuesday (May 22) in the semifinals of Class 4A Sectional 14 at Columbus North.
Games will be played at Lincoln Park, just east of the high school on 25th Street.
Bloomington South drew Shelbyville in the opening game at 6 p.m. Monday (May 21). East Central will square off against Columbus East in the second first-round game Monday.
Monday's winner's will meet in the first semifinal at 6 p.m. Tuesday (May 22). The CN-BN game will follow that game.
Tuesday's winners will play for the sectional title at 7 p.m. Thursday (May 24).
Tickets for the sectional at $5 per session or $8 for an all-session pass.
This is one of 16 sectionals in Class 4A and 64 sectionals across the state. The sectional winner will advance to regional play at the home of the Sectional 13 winner on Tuesday, May 29.
The regional winner will advance to the Center Grove Semistate on Saturday, June 2.
The semistate winner will play in the Class 4A State Finals at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at Ben Davis.
There are 101 schools competing in the 4A tournament, and 373 schools in all classes of the postseason event.
