Clark's walk-off home run lifts Southport over Columbus North in softball

     INDIANAPOLIS -- Junior Grace Clark knocked an eighth-inning walk-off home run Thursday (May 10), lifting the Southport softball team to a 4-1 victory over Columbus North.
     The Cardinals improved to 14-4 overall and 6-1 in Conference Indiana. The Bull Dogs dropped to 13-9 and 3-4.
     Columbus North took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but Southport tied the game in the fourth.
     The game remained deadlocked through the top of the eighth. In the bottom of the inning, Clark hit a three-run home run to end the game.
     In the JV game, Southport won 13-2.
     Columbus North returns to action at 10 a.m. Saturday (May 12) when it hosts Brownstown Central.
