Columbus North rolls past Providence, Jennings Co. in boys golf

     COLUMBUS, Ind. -- Sophomores Christian Fairbanks and Michael VanDeventer each shot even-par 36s Wednesday (April 11), leading the Columbus North boys golf team to a convincing victory over Providence and Jennings County at Harrison Lake Country Club.
     Junior Ian Smith added a 37 and classmate Jacob Coffey had a 39 for the Bull Dogs, who amassed a 148 total. That score outdistanced the Pioneers (172) and the Panthers (179).
     Sophomore Tanner Bennett and senior John Arthur each carded 42s to complete the CN lineup.
     Columbus North returns to action at 4:30 p.m. Friday (April 13) when they face Franklin Central and Shelbyville at Smock Golf Course in Indianapolis. CN competes in the Warsaw Invitational at 11 a.m. at Stonehenge Golf Club in Winona Lake, Ind.
