Home » Boys' Golf NewsVanDeventer's 34 leads CN boys golf to easy victoryApril 4, 2012 Columbus North High School BROWNSTOWN, Ind. -- Sophomore Michael VanDeventer took medalist honors with a 1-under-par 34 on Tuesday (April 3), leading the second-ranked Columbus North boys golf team to a three-way victory at Hickory Hills Golf Course.
Classmate Christian Fairbanks shot an even-par 35 and junior Jacob Coffey had a 38 for the Bull Dogs, who had the day's top three scores and totaled a 148 to outdistance Bloomington South and Brownstown Central. The Panthers shot a 166, while the host Braves had a 167.
Senior John Arthur carded a 41 to complete CN's top four. Sophomore Ian Coffey shot a 44 and junior Ian McGillivrey had a 51 to round out the Bull Dogs' lineup.
Columbus North returns to action at 10 a.m. Saturday (April 7) when it competes in the Hall of Fame Invitational at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Ind.
CN also hosts the Columbus North Invitational at 8 a.m. Saturday (April 7) at Harrison Lake Country Club.
