Home » Football NewsCN's Ash picked as a Prime Time 25 football player for 2012March 20, 2012 Columbus North High School Columbus North junior Shaquille Ash has been chosen as one of the Prime Time 25 football players for the upcoming 2012 football season by Indiana Football Digest.
His selection was announced Sunday (March 18) at the 2012 Griddy Awards program held at the Indianapolis Colts complex.
The 5-10, 185-pound Ash was the Bull Dogs' leading defensive player in 2011 as the team posted an 8-4 record. For the season, Ash made 144 tackles, including 104 solos, the second-most solos in a CN season. He also had seven tackles for loss and amassed 149 defensive points in a team rating system, the fourth-best season total since the system was put in place in 2000.
The IFD Prime Time 25 are considered the best seniors-to-be for the coming season, and they will appear on the cover of the 2012 Indiana Football Digest magazine. The magazine will be available beginning in July.
