CROSS COUNTRY: Championship Information

The OSAA Cross Country Championship is set for Saturday, November 5 @ Lane Community College in Eugene.

  • Race time for girls is 1:15 P.M.
  • Race time for boys is 1:50 P.M.

Cleveland's girls won the district championship. They are currently ranked sixth in the state according to Athletic.net. The guys are ranked fourth.

 

The top four teams in each race will receive a plaque, and the top 10 individuals will receive medals. Both the girls and the boys have set their sights on being in the top four.

 

The following girls are racing at the state meet (listed here in order of their finish at the district meet):

  • Bryn McKillop - 1st place, District Champ. She broke the course record, running 19:42 on the hilly Franklin course.
  • Emma Wrenn - 3rd place. Emma, a freshman, achieved a personal record of 19:47.
  • Hannah Spencer - 4th place. 19:50. Beat personal record by 26 seconds.
  • Ada Thatcher-James - 8th place. Personal record of 21:07.
  • Emma Rollins - 9th place. 21:10.
  • Ellie Forest - 10th place. 21:45.
  • Kelsey McCall - 11th place. 21:57

The guys finished second at the district meet behind #2-ranked Franklin. Running at state and listed below according to their finish at the district meet are:

  • Chris Hinkle - 3rd place.
  • Adrian Hinkle - 5th place.
  • Logan Banning-Shaughnessey - 9th place. Personal record of 17:00 minutes..
  • Roba Sultessa - 10th place.
  • Mitchell Robertson - 11th place.
  • Daniel Stone - 13th place.
  • Ethan Livermore - 14th place.
