BASEBALL: Warriors Rebound

April 1, 2014
Cleveland High School

The Warriors rebounded from an opening day loss to post their first victory of the 2014 campaign, against the Parkrose Broncos. Jack Sampson was today's catalyst for success, throwing four innings of shut-out baseball and added two hits and RBI, enroute  to a 9-0 win.

It is becoming apparent that Cleveland has a deep pitching staff. The Warriors again used an arsenal of arms to post their first shut-out of the season (Sampson, C. Sparks, Brebner and Gibson). Although it only took one run to win today, the Cleveland bats came to life with nine hits and aggressive base running.

Next game Fri 3/21 4:30 at Centennial HS.
