Milwaukie survives last-second shot attempt in 49-46 win over Cleveland: Oregon girls basketball play-in game recap

Milwaukie 49, Cleveland 46: The Mustangs (15-10) mustered a fourth-quarter comeback Tuesday against the Warriors (12-12) to lock up a spot in the 5A OSAA Playoffs.

After an even first half, Cleveland outscored Milwaukie 13-6 in the third to take a six point lead into the fourth. With the end of their season in sight, the Mustangs turned up their intensity, scored a few fast break baskets and hit a few threes to take the lead. Cleveland hoisted a three at the buzzer to tie the game that just missed to give Milwaukie the win.

Merrily Jones scored 20 points and Karissa Delaunay added 16 points for Milwaukie who only played six players total. Taylor Ristvedt scored 17 and Emily Rommel 13 for Cleveland.
