Cleveland dominates in paint to fuel 65-54 win over Madison

The Cleveland Warriors (4-9) got doubles-doubles from both of their starting post players en route to a 65-54 win over the Madison Senators (7-6) on Friday evening.

Senior forward Emily Rommel scored a game-high 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Warriors. Rommel also recorded three blocks to round out her dominant performance. Junior center Taylor Ristvedt added 11 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Tamara Thompson led the way for Madison with 17 points.

The Warriors move to 2-1 in Special District 2 play, while Madison drops to 2-2. Both teams are back in action on Friday, Jan. 24, when Cleveland hosts Benson and Madison hosts Jefferson.
