GIRLS BASKETBALL: Cleveland Wins a Close One (2/1/2013)

     Cleveland 56, Roosevelt 54: Emily Rommel hit the game-winning basket for Cleveland with 10 seconds to play to lift the host Warriors past the Roughriders.
     The game was a seesaw battle from start to finish, with neither team leading by more than five points. Roosevelt (7-11, 5-3 PIL) rallied from a halftime deficit and led 43-38 going into the final period.
    Rommel led Cleveland (10-8, 7-1) with 21 points, while game-high honors went to Roosevelt’s Livia Strandberg with 28 points. 
