Clear Creek ISD Trustees Finalists for Top School Board Award

League City, TX -- The Clear Creek ISD Board of Trustees is one of five finalists for the Texas Association of School Administrators’ annual school board of the year award. The Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) named CCISD among its five Texas Honor School Boards along with Arlington, Plano, Midway and Culberson County-Allamoore. The final winner will be announced Sept. 27.

“The boards are selected by a committee of Texas superintendents based on criteria that includes trustees’ support for educational performance, support for improvement projects and the ability to work well together,” said CCISD Superintendent Dr. Greg Smith. “Our board is very deserving of this honor.  President Win Weber, Vice President Dr. Laura Du Pont, Secretary Ken Baliker and Trustees Dee Scott, Ann Hammond, Charles Pond and Page Rander work diligently to make the right decisions for all of our students. We are proud the board is being recognized for their strong commitment to our schools, students and community.”

The CCISD school board was named the Region 4 board of the year earlier this month. The TASA awards program recognizes outstanding Texas school boards whose commitment and service have made a positive impact on our public school students. Since 1971, this prestigious program has honored boards of trustees that have demonstrated dedication to student achievement and that make every effort to put students first.
