This past weekend, the CCHS Theatre Department attended the Texas Educational Theatre Association Convention in Downtown Houston. Seventeen students received over 200 hours of instruction in various Performance techniques and aspects of Technical Theatre. But the really exciting news is that one of our Seniors, Carina Monteleone, had the opportunity to Audition and Interview with representatives from various universities and colleges from around the state. As a result of that process, she was offered scholarships from two colleges which would almost completely cover the cost of her tuition and textbooks to study Theatre as part of their programs. She also received interest from a third institution. Please congratulate her if you get the chance as our Department is very excited about these opportunities that her hard work has earned for her.
