On Tuesday, 12/4, at 7:30 PM in our CCHS Auditorium, the CCHS Choir program will present its annual Winter Concert. The concert is free and open to the public, and we encourage you to bring your family and friends.
The concert will feature all choirs in the program performing a variety of music, including: -numerous performances of well-known Christmas carols -many winter-related secular pieces or Christmas-related songs from different parts of the world -a Christmas carol sing-a-long -well-known classical standards typically done in December, including the first movement of Vivaldi’s Gloria, Bach’s Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring, and Handel’s famous Hallelujah Chorus -a satirical piece loosely based on the carol “Good King Wenceslas” called “Good King Kong,” complete with “instrumental” accompaniment -a musical nod to next month’s impending End of the World -a unique, audience-involved 12 Days of Christmas, followed by a hilarious musical description of what happens to all of those gifts – the 12 Days AFTER Christmas
It promises to be a fun, entertaining music-filled evening that showcases our wonderful choir students, and we hope you can make it. James Park Attention all dancers – don’t forget about the open auditions for the Cadettes Performance Ensemble!
Auditions will be held in the band hall next Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-6pm. The audition will be formatted like a regular dance class – so you do not need to prepare something ahead time – just attend.
If you are interested, please see Ms. Allin in D 120 for more information and a registration form.
Swaggalier practice will be today at 5:00 on the field"
Thank you, Dana Backe
