National Editon Winners 2012-13

December 4, 2012
By Wynette Jameson of Clear Creek High School

About the National Edition @ high school journalism.org
The National Edition is a weekly collection of stories from around the nation.

They were written by young journalists using our publishing tool to post their school newspapers online.

We choose stories based on their quality and appeal to a broad teen readership.

These selections represent stories that were the most interesting or moving of the week.

Out of thousands of entries each week, only thirty stories are chosen from across the nation.

The HiLife's most recent National Edition winner is Jenan Taha with her story about the rescue and relocation of pets during Hurricane Sandy. The story was featured in their December 3 issue.

National Edition winner is Lisa Nhan with her movie review of Wreck it Ralph. The story was featured in their November 9 issue. This is Nhan's second win this year.

National Edition winner  Valerie Hellinghausen won with her story of Invisible Children's newest campaign, MOVE. The story was featured in their October 29 issue. Hellinghausen is a veteran of the National Edition.

With her first try, freshman Lisa Nhan has been chosen for the October 29 issue of the National Edition with her review of Hotel Transylvania.
