ATTENTION NHS Members: There will be a make-up meeting for band members tomorrow before school at 6:45 am in room 265.
Astronomy Club will be having a meeting on Monday, Nov. 12th at 2:45 in room 133.
UIL Science students, please meet in Harrell’s room 151 on Friday Nov 9 at 2:35.
If you were unable to attend the robotics meeting please see Ms. Medina in room 145, Mrs. Vong in room 703, or Mrs. Cole-Lying for forms and information. The forms are due back by next Thursday.
Any girl interested in trying out for the soccer team needs to attend a meeting in room 253 on Tuesday November 13 before school at 6:45 to get paperwork. Physicals need to be on file with Mrs. Supak before tryouts.
Juniors and Seniors: Are you planning to go to college? Now is the time to start thinking about taking the SAT College entrance exam. College Board is now registering for the December 1st test which will be given here at Clear Brook. If you want to maximize your potential for the test, NOW is the time to sign up for session 3 of the SAT Review Course. The session starts Monday & Tuesday Nov. 12th & 13th from 3pm-6pm with the practice test given in two days on Wednesday & Thursday Nov. 14th & 15th 3pm-6pm. The cost of this review course is $75. There is a reduced rate for those on free and reduced lunches. Attention Seniors: you will have another chance to order your graduation invitations and caps and gowns. Balfour will be on campus today and tomorrow to take make-up orders during all lunches in the cafeteria. A $100 deposit is required to place your order.
Thank you to all of the advisories who donated canned foods for the local food pantry in the National Honor Society's October canned food drive. Congratulations to the advisories who gave the most, earning themselves breakfast during advisory today from the National Honor Society: Ms. Stone, Ms. Lopez, Ms. Taub, Ms. Harrell, Ms. Daley.
Alright Clear Brook it is time for the musical Legally Blonde to be seen by all of you. Come to the show on November 8 or 9 at 7:30 in the auditorium for just $5 for students and $10 for adults. You don’t want to miss some spectacular performances and you must see Ms. Kilgore, Ms. Gault and Ms. Miles in their cameo performances. Don’t miss this show.
Attention Clear Brook! The time has come for the Senior - Faculty Volleyball game! Come and watch your favorite teachers dominate, once again, the ever trying team of the seniors! The game will be played on November 16. If you are a senior, sign-ups will be on Mrs. Rodriguez's desk. If you want to play, then you must have a physical and medical form filled out. Spots are limited, so hurry and sign up! Faculty - if you are interested in pounding the seniors, then email Coach Ryan Davies and he will add you to the team. Hope to hear from you soon!
JUNIORS and SENIORS – the annual Powder Puff game will be Thursday, December 13th. Those who want to participate as a player (girls), Celebro or Cheerleader (guys), coach (guys) or just be a part of the fun (everyone) should begin preparing for this annual event. Permission/medical information forms may be picked up from either Mrs. Rodriguez (AP-Miles) or Mrs. Davis (AP Alvarez/Zoch) and must be completed before signing up to participate. Sign up for Powder Puff player numbers will be Monday, November 12th at 6:30am in the Commons. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. You will need to bring $30 and your completed permission/medical form. Deadline is November 15th.
