Home » Football News4 Teams from Senior Bowl will be in the state playoffsNovember 10, 2011 Clayton County Senior BowlThe Clayton County senior bowl should be a very exciting game. How do we know this? There will be four teams from this bowl game represented in the Georgia state playoffs this year. Let’s break down who’s playing who. Charles Drew- the 7-3 Drew Titans coached by Jarrett Laws will take on the 9-1 Burke County Bears. Drew lost a season opener to Cairo who now holds an 8-2 record. They then lost to the two time defending state champions Sandy Creek. Finally they lost 6-4 Henry County Team. Burke County is 9-1 with a lone loss to state powerhouse Lowndes. I’m picking Burke County on this game. North Clayton- Coached by Max Wiltz will be playing the undefeated Northgate Vikings out of Newnan, Georgia. Even though North Clayton made the playoffs I would still call it a rebuilding year and would give this win to Northgate. Jonesboro- Coached by Coach Floyd will take on Griffin. I would make a prediction on this game. Both teams have been playing well. Lovejoy- The big dogs of Clayton County 10-0 for the second straight regular season. They play Upson Lee and I’m going with Lovejoy.
