2013 Lacrosse Coaching Staff

 

Sarah Catlin, Varsity Head Coach

Sarah Catlin is the current head field hockey and lacrosse coach for the Bulldogs. She came to Saint Ursula from the college ranks,

leading the LaSalle University Div I field hockey program for the 2001-2008 seasons. A 1998 graduate of Bucknell University, Coach

Catlin played four years of field hockey, serving as team captain her senior year. Before her first head coaching field hockey job, she

assisted for 2 years at Miami University and 1 year at Columbia University. Between these field hockey jobs, she put in two years as the

assistant and one year as the head coach for the Div III Susquehanna Women's Lacrosse Team.

When NOT at Schottzie Stadium, Coach Catlin is the Director of Admissions and Student Life at Saint Ursula Academy. During the

winter months, she moderates the Academic Team.

 Rebecca Spencer, Varsity Assistant

Rebecca Spencer is in her first year as an assistant coach for the SUA Lacrosse Team, primarily working with the goalkeepers. The

Louisville, KY native was an All-American Field Hockey player at Wittenberg University ('03) and was the goalie for the Lacrosse team,

ending her career with All-Region honors. After moving to Cincinnati, Rebecca coached Field hockey and Lacrosse at Mt. Notre Dame

and was named the 2005 GGCL Lacrosse Coach of the Year. Rebecca currently works for an advertising agency and lives in East

Walnut Hills with her husband Scott.

 Shannon Reilly, Varsity Assistant

Shannon Reilly is a graduate of Saint Ursula, Class of 2010 and this is her first year coaching with the lacrosse program.

She started playing lacrosse in sixth grade, and finished up here with four years at Saint Ursula. In addition, she also

played club field hockey while in high school. Currently, she is a sophomore at the University of Cincinnati majoring in

Biology/Pre-med.

 Doug King, JV Head Coach

Coach King is the current head junior varsity lacrosse coach for the Bulldogs.  He is a 2004 graduate from Boston College, where he played four years of rugby. He has taught in SUA’s English Department starting in the fall of 2007 and shortly after completed his Master of Education degree from Xavier University. Coach King has served as junior varsity assistant coach and varsity assistant coach during his time at SUA. When not in the literature classroom or on the field, he is moderating The Light, the SUA student newspaper.
