The Wildcats finished with 33 team points, led by Derrick Williams, who was the first runner in with a time of 16 minutes, 17 seconds. Host Whitefish (45) was second and Ronan (95) finished a distant third. Williams edged Carter Montgomery (16:22) of Plains for the title. Columbia Falls runner Justin Whitman was third in 16:38. The Bulldogs claimed the team trophy on the girls' side with 19 points. Columbia Falls (44) was second and Frenchtown (99) was third. Jessica Sagen led the Bulldogs with a first-place finish in 18:40. Jinise Osborne of the Wildkats was second in 19:19, just out-kicking third-place finisher Bailey Eaton of Whitefish. Dillon Invitational At Dillon, the Hamilton boys edged host Dillon and Corvallis for the team crown at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course. The Broncs had a team score of 45, followed by Dillon with 56 and Corvallis with 57. Morly Jessop of Corvallis won the boys' race in a time of 18 minutes, 29.2 seconds. Anaconda's Jared Noyd was next at 18:40 and Tanner Palin of Corvallis was third at 18:45. Dillon was the only school to field a girls' team and finished with a score of 56. Harrison's Shannon Young won the girls' race in 20:09. Dillon's Ellen Hollifield was second at 21:35 and teammate Katie Hawkins was third at 21:39. Polson Duels At Polson, Paden Alexander of St. Ignatius and Claudia Hewston of Polson won the individual titles at the Polson Duels cross country meet. Alexander won the boys' race in 17 minutes, five seconds. Travis Hayes (17:38) of Polson was second and teammate Alex Nystrom (17:39) was third. Hewston clocked a 19:02 to win the girls' title. Polson's Mesa Starkey (19:37) was second and fellow Pirate Tegan Bauer (20:23) came in third. No team scores were available, although Polson swept the team crowns.
