"I am very excited to have Rylee Kane join our women's basketball program," said MSUB coach Kevin Woodin. "She is a very fundamentally sound player with excellent court awareness."
DeWit played two seasons for the Bobcats and will have two years of eligibility with the Yellowjackets. This past season, the 6-foot forward played in all 30 games for MSU, averaging 5.9 points and four rebounds a game.
"Kayla is a tremendous athlete who has the ability to play multiple post positions," Woodin said. "She has great strength and she will provide us with much needed depth in the interior."
DeWit is the second straight transfer for MSUB from the Bobcats. Chelsea Banis joined the program last year, earning Newcomer of the Year honors in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
Kane and DeWit join early signees Lexi Prevost of Sidney, Frenchtown's Vanessa Stavish and Brianna Reser of Simi Valley, Calif.
The group joins a program that reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division II national tournament.
