BONNERS FERRY, Idaho — Columbia Falls won all six of its matches, averaging nearly seven aces each game, to win the Bonners Ferry Invitational volleyball tournament on Saturday.
The Wildcats beat Libby in the one-set final of the eight-team event.
“We did a really good job of spreading out our hitters,” Columbia Falls coach Josie Brown said.
“We played some great defense today.
“We had some close ones prior to (the final) that were nail-biters,” she added.
“(The girls) keep figuring out how to get that last point though, that’s all that matters. I’m excited about how the girls are coming together as a team.”
Columbia Falls has two league matches this week — Thursday at Frenchtown and home Saturday with Whitefish.
