Polson 62, Frenchtown 51

At Polson, the host Northwestern A Pirates capitalized on 19 points from Kyle Bagnell to dispatch Southwestern A Frenchtown in the final game of the season-opening tourney.

Bagnell scored 11 points in the first half, powering Polson to a 15-point lead at the Break.

Tim Rausch added 16 points for the Pirates. Polson split its two games at the tournament.

Three players finished in double figures for the Broncs, who lost both their games at the tournament.

Austin Blank finished with 13, Daniel Aichlmayr had 12 and Jake Anderson 10 for Frenchtown.

At Polson, Southwestern A Hamilton surged to a 22-point lead at the end of the third quarter and then held off a push from Northwestern A Libby during the final period to secure the win.

Jeremy Powell collected 11 points for the Broncs. Zach Stager added 10.

Stager had all of his points during a 25-point third quarter for Hamilton.

Colton Cannon totaled 11 points and James Hare 10 for the Loggers.

Cannon shot 4-of-5 from the line in the fourth quarter as Libby attempted to mount a comeback.

Both Libby and Hamilton finished the tournament 1-1.

At Polson, Riley Bradshaw and Rodee Anderson combined on 59 points as Southwestern A Corvallis defeated Northwestern A Ronan.

Anderson led all scorers with 34 points, while Bradshaw dumped in 25.

For the Chiefs, Jackson Jore was tops with 11 points.

Corvallis went 2-0 at the tournament. Ronan dropped both of its games.

Columbia Falls 79, Stevensville 70

At Polson, Southwestern A Stevensville rallied to cut a 16-point halftime deficit to just one point headed to the fourth quarter, but Northwestern A Columbia Falls pulled the rug out in the final period.

Mitchell Wassam scored 16 and Kyle Howell added 15 to lead the Wildcats. Nick Emerson contributed 14, including shooting 7-of-9 from the free-throw line in the fourth.

Austin Barth and Kaleb Johnson each had 13 points for Columbia Falls.

For Stevensville, Austin Kelling finished with 16, Josh Schultz with 15, Tyler Gavlak with 12 and Price Miller with 11.

Columbia Falls won both its tip-off contests. Stevensville went 1-1 at the tourney.

Bigfork 79, Anaconda 61

At Polson, District 7-B favorite Bigfork looked as good as advertised, putting four players in double figures while edging Class A Anaconda.

Keenan Evans finished with 16 points, while Evan Jordt had 14, Carter Sorensen 12 and Lael Richmond 10 for the Vikings.

Bigfork exploded for 47 points during the second and third quarters to take control,

For Anaconda, Matt King finished with 26 and Kyle Moore had 23.

Bigfork emerged from the tournament 2-0. Anaconda lost both games at the event.

Dillon 63, Whitefish 45

At Polson, the Beavers put three players in double figures as Southwestern A Dillon trumped Northwestern A Whitefish.

The Beavers rolled out to a 20-point halftime lead as Trevor Rehm scored 10 of his game-high 18 points.

Wes Knox contributed 16 points for Dillon while Garrett Banning added 12.

For the Bulldogs, Connor Siliker scored 15 and Gage Vasquez chipped in 10.

Dillon and Whitefish each ended 1-1 at the tournament.
