CORVALLIS — Columbia Falls used an early 15-7 advantage to coast to a 57-35 girls basketball victory over Corvallis on the second day of the Northwest-Southwest Tip-off Tournament on Saturday.

Columbia Falls (2-0) led 32-13 at the half.

Haley Belgarde pumped in 19 points for the Wildkats, while Ciera Finberg and Hope Burlage followed with 11 each.

Alycia Sims knocked down 18 points for Stevensville (2-0). Hannah England had 10 for Libby (0-2).

Dillon led 22-9 at intermission. Tessa Robertson topped Bigfork (0-2) in scoring with eight points.

Alysea Pica scored all of her 11 points in the second half as Butte Central’s girls’ basketball team outfought Laurel for a 41-36 non-conference win today at the Butte Civic Center.

The game was part of the Butte Central Tip-Off Tournament.

Danee Leary scored seven of her 11 points in the first half to help the Maroons improve to 2-0.

 

Central girls fall to Salmon, Idaho

 

BUTTE -- Billings Central got out of the gates slow and Salmon, Idaho took advantage in a 55-33 win over the Rams in girls basketball at the Butte Tip-Off on Saturday.

A day after an 18-point win over Livingston, the Rams found themselves down 30-17 by halftime and never recovered.

Deshka Olson had 18 points and Anna Schroeder had 12 for Salmon, which bounced back from Friday's 22-point loss to Hardin.

Allie Lucas was the lone player in double figures for the Rams. She had 17 points.

Laurel girls fall to Butte Central

 

BUTTE -- Alysea Price and Danika Neumann each scored 11 points to help Butte Central to a 41-36 girls basketball victory over Laurel on Saturday at the Butte Tip-Off.

Jayde LeFevre had 17 points to pace Laurel, but the Locomotives dropped to 1-1. Bailey Love added eight points.

Danee Leary contributed nine points for Butte Central, last year's Class A runner-up.
