BOOSTER CLUB FALL 2012 BULLETIN

CFHS BLUE AND WHITE BBQ AND FALL SPORTS SCRIMMAGE

                                   AUGUST 23^RD

The Blue and White BBQ Fundraiser, hosted by Booster Club, will be held August 23^rd in front of the High School Gym.  We extend an open invitation for all to attend this annual event.

Thursday, August 23

5:00 to 7:00 PM

$5 – Hamburger (cheese) or Polish dog, chips, drink and cookie

Wildc/kat practices and scrimmages will take place throughout the day with all teams being introduced by the coaches following the Blue & White BBQ.  The BBQ offers the community a chance to see our outstanding athletes in action while providing an opportunity to become a member of Booster Club.  Wildc/kat merchandise and pocket calendars will be available.

2012-2013 MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

Please consider purchasing an annual Booster Club membership.  Your membership is an excellent way to show your Wildc/kat Pride throughout the school year by supporting CFHS students and coaches involeved in the following activities:

Booster Club members normally raise between $10,000 and $15,000 annually.  Your donation with Booster Club goes directly to Wildc/kat activities in the following ways:

Senior Recognitions

Wildc/kat Banners

State Placing Receptions

Wildc/kat Merchandise

Membership dollars raised last year enabled the Booster Club to make substantial donations of $1,800 to the sound system, $800 to boys tennis (warm ups), $1,000 to track (roll out surface), $1,000 to softball (fencing), $1,200 to cheerleaders (uniforms) and cool put in cups were purchased to do the sign in the fence at the entrance of the football field.

BOOSTER CLUB EVENTS/FUNDRAISERS

In addition to memberships, Booster Club raises money by selling Wildc/kat merchandise, hoop-shoot, split-the-pot, and hosting the Blue & White BBQ and Homecoming BBQ.  These fundraisers are necessary in order to provide uniforms, equipment, etc., for the Wildc/kat activities.  There are many opportunities to help with Booster Club events at almost every home game.  Please check the sports calendar to see when you can help and call one of the contacts listed to sign up.  Volunteers are greatly appreciated!! 

Booster Club hosts a kickoff for each sports season:  Blue & White BBQ in the Fall, Spaghetti Feed for Winter sports and Ice Cream Social for Spring sports. The kickoffs offer coaches an opportunity to introduce their teams while being supported by families and friends.  We truly need parents and community members to participate in these events and we hope you will sign up to help.  Let’s work together to ensure that our students’ experiences at CFHS are extremely rewarding and filled with a sense of pride.
