The June issue is getting ready to be released and we pay tribute to the great year that it was in Oklahoma high school sports. Here is a month-by-month break down.

VYPE: High School Football Preview

We packed our annual high school football preview edition with information from more than 420 schools. It was the Year of the Quarterback, and we brought six Oklahoma seniors together with former Heisman Trophy winner Jason White at the Jim Thorpe Sports Hall of Fame. Our cover boys were none other than Kendal Thompson of Southmoore, Kirby Schoenthaler of Bartlesville, Sawyer Kollmorgen of Janks, Ryan Spangler of Bridge Creek, Brayle Brown of Shawnee and L.T. Plaff of Atoka.

We sat down with Barry Sanders, Jr., for a look at his 2010 season. Bixby moved from class 5A to 6A last year, and they let us get a sneak peak at how their routine changed. And ESPN’s Chris Mortenson gave readers the lowdown on concussion prevention.
