VYPE's list of the top players in the coverage area emphasizes where the strength of Kansas football lies, in the offensive backfield and on defense

12. Kevin O'Conner MCPHERSON
5-8, 175 SR RB 1,284 Rushing Yards
O'Conner compiled 1,284 rushing yards in 10 games, his second consecutive 1,000-yard season. He averaged 11 yards per carry.

13. Michael Reynolds KAPAUN MT. CARMEL
6-2, 215 SR DE/TE 12 Tackles For Loss
Reynolds had 12 tackles for a loss and 6 sacks. He compiled 53 tackles, 19 solo, had 1 interceptions, caused a fumble and recovered a fumble.

14. Tanner Fisher BUHLER
5-9, 182 JR TB/DB 2,360 Rushing Yards
Fisher, just a junior, rushed for 2,360 yards and 40 touchdowns. He caught 9 passes for 235 yards and another touchdown as the leading scorer for Buhler.

15. Max Martinez BISHOP CARROLL
5-9, 175 SR S 5 Interceptions
Martinez led the team in interceptions and recovered 3 fumbles. He was Carroll's fourth-leading tackler with 74.

16. Matt Galliart HUTCHINSON
6-3, 200 SR LB 100 Tackles
Galliart led Hutchinson in tackles, 64 solo and 36 assisted and 4 for a loss. The captain had two sacks and two pass breakups.

17. J.P. Lohrentz BUHLER
6-3, 170 JR S/SB 11 Interceptions
Lohrentz controlled the vertical game on both sides of the ball, receiving 36 passes for 934 yards and 11 touchdowns and intercepting 11 times.

18. Christian Ulsaker MCPHERSON
6-6, 185 SR WR 1,154 Receiving Yards
Ulsaker led the McPherson passing attack in receiving yards for the second consecutive season, compiling 1,154 yards on 67 receptions.

19. Derek Lee MAIZE
6-4, 235 SR LB/TE 28 Tackles For Loss
In addition to catching 27 balls for 337 yards, Lee compiled 74 tackles, 28 for a loss, 7 sacks, 1 interception and 2 fumble recoveries.

20. Keaton Lewis, KAPAUN MT. CARMEL
6-0, 170 SR QB/DB 1,364 Passing Yards
Lewis completed 57% of his passes for 1,364 yards and 21 touchdowns in 10 games and rushed for an additional 276 yards and 5 touchdowns.

21. Shay Wooten SALINA CENTRAL
6-2, 208 SR QB/DB 1,043 Passing Yards
Wooten passed for 1,043 yards and rushed for 394 and accounted for 16 touchdowns in 8 games. He compiled 89 tackles in the secondary.

22. Braden Eck GARDEN PLAIN
6-0, 235 SR LB/FB 4,132 Yards As Unit
In addition to being Garden Plain's top blocker on the offensive line, Eck had 50 tackles on defense, including 4 sacks and 5 tackles for a loss.

23. Morgan Burns TRINITY ACADEMY
5-11, 190 SR RB/LB/SP 1,338 Rushing Yards
Burns rushed for 1,338 yards and 16 touchdowns in 9 games, while averaging 9.6 yards per carry. He averaged 29.4 yards per kick return 38.9 yards per punt.

24. Tucker Chadd BISHOP CARROLL
6-0, 190 SR DE 18 Tackles For Loss
Chadd led the defense in the sub-state win over Hutch with 4 tackles for a loss and 3 sacks. He had 5 tackles in the backfield and a defensive touchdown against Kapaun.

25. Devran Cochran CAMPUS
6-2, 185 SR DB/WR/SP 84 Tackles
Cochran totalled 84 tackles, 63 solo, and scored three special teams touchdowns as a returner. He caught 21 passes for 457 yards and four touchdowns.
