The 6-foot-1 Frankamp, who has signed with Kansas, broke the record on a leaning 12-footer in the lane with 43 seconds remaining in the game. His carrer total of 2,233 points is two more than his future teammate at KU, Ellis, who helped lead Wichita Heights to four consecutive Class 6A state titles. The victory boosted the City League-champion Redskins to 17-2 overall and 14-1 in the league heading into next Thursday's season finale against West. Frankamp had 13 points at halftime but scored 12 of his 17 points in a four-minuite span in the third quarter.
