The tournament is starting a day earlier than the 4A meet in Salina and 5A-6A meets in Park City because of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championships beging held at Fort Hays State on Saturday and Sunday. The 3-2-1A state meet begins at 10 a.m. with first-round matches, followed by second-round matches at 2 p.m. First-round consolation matches start at 4 p.m., with the championship semifinals following. Goodland, Scott City and Ceney Valley were ranked 1-2-3 in the final KWCA poll. Four wrestlers enter the tournament unbeaten - Joey Defore of Dexter (32-0) at 113 pounds; Ky Biddle of Central-Burden (36-0) at 152; Eric Albers of Oakley (31-0) at 160 and Luke Hayes of Scott City (32-0) at 285. The championship finals will be held Friday night.
