Sectional pairings announced for girls basketball state tournament

On Sunday afternoon, the IHSAA announced the sectional pairings for the 2012-13 girls basketball state tournament.

A total of 399 schools are set to participate in the four-class state tournament, which begins on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 64 sectional sites across the state.

Sectional champions will advance to regional on Feb. 16. Semistate games will be held on Feb. 23 with the state finals to be played at the Hulman Center in Terre Haute on March 2.
