Home » Track & Field NewsCameron Beard Headed to Southwest BaptistApril 26, 2011 By David Meyers of Centralia High SchoolCentralia senior track athlete Cameron Beard made his college decision official this morning when he signed a letter of intent to run track at Southwest Baptist University. Beard has participated in track for 4 years at Centralia, and is currently a sprinter on this year's team. Beard has plans of competing as a decathalete for the Bearcats, a NCAA Division II program located in Bolivar. Beard was part of the 4 x 200 m relay team that broke the school record last season, and is a returning all conference high jumper, and a returning all conference, all district and all state sprinter. Cameron is planning on studying athletic training at SBU.
