CCC Announces Baseball Selections

The Clarence Cannon Conference announced the 2012 baseball all conference team yesterday and the champion Centralia Panther team had 7 selections.

Senior shortstop Alec Ford was named the player of the year and was also named to the first team infield.  Other first teamers for Centralia were pitcher Josh Etzler and infielder Chandler Kovar.

2nd team selections were outfielder Stuart Cox and pitcher Nate VanBoening; outfielder/pitcher Gannon Peavler was named honorable mention.

Centralia skipper Jason Lea was named the 2012 coach of the year.

Centralia finished the conference season 6-1 and the regular season 14-9.  The Panthers start district play on Saturday in Kirksville as the #3 seed.  They play Moberly at 12:30.
