The Klein Collins offense is built around the running game and the Tigers have a talented front-man in Chance Allen. The 6-foot-5 offensive lineman has committed to Kansas State and will team up with buddy Ty Tezeno to make for a formidable front. He should dominate at the high school level with his size and strength and will work on his footwork to excel at the college level. While Cy Falls’ Jacorey Warrick gets all the headlines, Temi Alaka continues to stay in his lane. The 6-foot-2 receiver is a physical presence on the outside and is a coveted 2012 prospect. What’s equally impressive is his performance in the classroom as he is a first-class student. Alaka’s brother Otaro will be a big-time linebacker prospect and linebacker recruit in 2013. Tavares Garner of Manvel High School is that lock-down cornerback that every college recruiter is looking for. After committing to Texas Tech early in the process, he had a change of heart and verballed to Texas A&M and coach Kevin Sumlin. Garner will anchor the Manvel defense and will cover opposing teams’ best receivers. Cy-Fair’s Ross “The Boss” Donelly exploded onto the high school football scene as a freshman. The Bobcat Man in the Middle stuffed opposing running games and earned district honors in his first year on the job. The 6-foot-2, 260-pound nose guard will be on all the recruiting lists when his time comes in 2015. His football IQ is off the charts for his age. The Houston Independent School District is often overshadowed by some of the other suburban super districts. Houston Wheatley’s Marcus Loud is a perfect example of the athleticism still walking the halls in inner city Houston. The 6-foot-4 defensive end is a raw talent and will take his skills to Missouri in 2013. He should dominate the HISD game this season with his explosiveness.
