Home » Basketball NewsWinslow to visit North Carolina, ArizonaFebruary 17, 2012 By Austin Staton of VYPE MAGAZINE - Central HoustonHe scored 25 points en route to leading St. John’s to a 72-58 win over Kinkaid last weekend to clinch the SPC Division I championship and now Justise Winslow is set to make a few recruiting trips to finish out the spring.
VYPE Magazine has learned that Winslow, VYPE's 2011-12 preseason player of the year, will visit North Carolina this weekend as the Tar Heels are set to take on Clemson Saturday afternoon. UNC assistant coach Steve Robinson was recently on hand to watch Winslow and fellow 2014 product, HCYA’s Justin Jackson, square off on Feb. 3.
Additionally, the six-foot-six small forward plans on taking a visit to Arizona next weekend as the Wildcats host UCLA. Winslow was originally scheduled to visit the Wildcats in late January but had to reschedule his visit due to prior engagements.
Boasting offers from nearly every Division I power, VYPE has also learned that a visit to Texas is near future is currently on the docket.
Just a sophomore, Winslow’s recruitment is just getting started and will be quite a journey. Stay tuned.
