CG Community School Corporation and IU Health Team Up

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana University Health and Center Grove Community School Corporation have announced plans to work together to deliver optimal athlete, student and employee health through a number of innovative new efforts.          

Through this new affiliation, Center Grove employees will gain convenient access to high-quality, nationally recognized care and an on-site health center managed by medical experts from IU Health. The clinic’s services will focus on preventive health and wellness in addition to immediate and primary care. A health coach will also be on-hand to help employees proactively manage their health and set and monitor personal fitness goals.

“By aligning Center Grove with IU Health, we know we are giving our employees, athletes and students access to nationally ranked medical care and wellness resources,” said Paul Gabriel, chief financial officer for Center Grove Community School Corporation. “With the consultative support of R.E. Sutton & Associates, a division of Brown and Brown Insurance, our benefits committee evaluated several vendors and chose IU Health because they share our vision of excellence and caring for the health and well-being for our employees and students.”  

Also, as part of the affiliation, by summer 2013, Center Grove student athletes will have access to a unique team of medical experts for comprehensive sports performance and athletic training services, including injury prevention and overall health management. The nationally ranked IU Health will team up with Methodist Sports Medicine – official team physicians of the Indianapolis Colts since 1984 – to deliver a dedicated team of orthopedic specialists, certified athletic trainers and primary care physicians. These orthopedic, sports medicine and sports performance experts will manage basic injuries and rehabilitation needs for Center Grove student athletes.
