Center Falls Short

The Center Yellowjacket football team lost for the first time in six games Friday night in Harrisonville. The Jackets and Wildcats were tied early in the thrird quarter 7 to 7 when Kilvert Martinez drilled a 37 yard field goal putting Center up 10-7. A holding penalty was called on the play and points were taken off the board. Being pushed out of field goal range the Jackets punted and pinned the Wildcats back to the one yard line. H'ville proceeded to march 99 yards for the go ahead touchdown and never looked back.

The Jackets stand 1-1 in district play and 7-2 overall. They end the regular season v. Grandview on Friday October 29 at home. Game time 7:00.
