Center Football WINS first ever Command Cup CHAMPIONSHIP!

Center High School WINS the first ever COMMAND CUP CHAMPIONSHIP!

The 7 on 7 tournament which took place at the Sprint Center in Downtown Kansas City, MO was won by Center after they played their best game of the tournament finishing with a 32-6 win over Oak Grove High School. Center begin the day at 9:00am with a 14-12 win over St. Thomas Aquinas. Then followed that game with a 18-8 win over St. James Academy. After that Center rounded off pool play with a game three win against Baldwin City 14-8. Meanwhile Oak Grove won the "B" pool which resulted in a thriller of a championship game. Center highlights of Jonte Perkins throwing for five touchdowns and two interceptions by Sean Lovette in the championship game.

The Command Trophy will be presented at halftime of the Command Arena Football game tonight.
